Teacher's Guide
This Webquest is intended to be taught at second cycle of ESO students.
It is thought to develop it along three sessions of 1h each which can be distributed as follows:
-
1h session will be used the first day in the computers room: students will be asked to carry out a general quiz to warm up. Then they will have to form groups of four and choose one character. After that they will be required to read a text and do some activities.
- 1h session will be used to work on their presentations. It is strongly recommend to carry out this session in the computers room despite it is not compulsory.
-1h session will be employed to enjoy every group’s presentation.
The objectives of this Webquest are:
1) Make students think about the concept of citizen and society.
2) Give students a global overview about 4 concrete issues that form part of our society and our lives.
3) Promote collaborative learning through the use of high cognitive thinking, and involving discussion and creative interpretation.
4) To understand and use new vocabulary relating to the topic they are studying
5) To strengthen the union of individual tasks in order to convey a new agreed one.
Requirements
- Students’ requirements: Students require basic knowledge of computers and Internet, as well as at least an elementary level of English.
- Teacher’s requirements: The teacher should monitor the whole process in order to help any students who needs it
Evaluation & Answers
- This Webquest is thought to be carried out by self-student’s evaluation. However, teacher’s evaluation can be considered.
