PLAZA CASTELLA

Plaza Castella is situated near Tallers street. Unlike Tallers street , Plaça Castella is very calm and peaceful. In this square there was a barracks and later there was a garden.
Now the main building in this square is the Church of Mercenaries. This church was built in the 18th century and it was dedicated to St Sever and St Carles Borromeu. The church has served very different purposes through the years : once it was a tobbaco factory , and it also was a military hospital. Now it is just a normal church.
I like this place because it is a little removed from the civilization and it is quiet and silent, so it is perfect to disconnect from the city life for a few minutes .
Sometimes I go there with my friends and we have a nice time talking and laughing
