PLAZA DE SANTA MARÍA DEL MAR

This is a monument near the church Santa Maria del Mar. This is a gothic church from the 14th century. The church is very big and has very beautiful windows with ornaments. Near the church there is a fountain where you can drink water if you are thirsty. The Fossar de les Moreres is a well-known place in Barcelona, where a lot of people can be seen every day . This monument was made to remember the people who died to defend the freedom of Catalonia in 1714. The ground has an irregular and it is made of stone. The monument was made in iron. Near the monument the ground goes up and down. In the square there are some small shops and one coffee shop.
