Parc de la Creueta del Coll was designed in 1981 by Oriol Bohigas, Josep M. Martorell and David Mackay and was built in 1983-1987.
At Parc de la Creueta del Coll is Chillida's 'Eulogy to Water ' hanging above the pool.
We're very lucky to have Chillida's work in Barcelona and it's a pity he died last year. It's a very big sculpture because Chillida has always done huge ones and "Eulogy to Water" is enormous. The background of the photograph is not very nice because the grass is not green anymore and the contrast isn't beautiful.
I used to go there with my grandfather and that's why I keep good memories of the park. I used to go there to play and I didn't know anything about the sculpture which weighs 80 tones and it's suspended over the water by four steel cables. It's very beautiful and I'm sure that not many people know the existence of this work of concrete mass of Eduardo Chillida.
