Introduction to Barcelona Through Our Eyes

What can we say about Barcelona that you have not already read about in books or watched on television? The most important thing we can say is that we love this city and we are very proud of living here. Most of us were born here, and we are happy to be a part of the life of Barcelona.

Barcelona Through Our Eyes is a compilation of places within the city (façades, squares, little out of the way spots) that we want you to know about and experience. It is not that we do not love the Casa Pedrera or Park Guell; we do. However, those places are the ones that you will discover on your own in tour guides of Barcelona. We liked the
idea of showing you some other places that we think you might have walked right past and not really noticed. These are singular buildings constructed by superb artists. Apart from Gaudi, Domenech I Montaner, and Puig I Cadafalch, there have been many other architects and sculptors that, while not as famous as the former, have made notable contributions to the city. To all of them, we give our thanks and want them to know that we intend to care for our city by keeping it and their creations as beautiful as they were when first created.

We have also written about us, our likes, emotions, feelings about the city and some notes about our routine and time we spend when we are not at school. We have chosen the village where we spend our summer holidays and weekends, and share with you our experiences there. Our selection process was simple; these are the places that we like the best and that bring back the happiest memories.
