On the corner
of Amadeu Vives Street there is a beautiful brick building with pottery
mosaic which was built in 1908 by the architect Doménech i Montaner
for the concerts room of the Orfeó Català.
The building corresponds with the moment in which Barcelona is showing its modernist style and it has got a decoration in the corner with a sculptress team of Blay that depict the popular song. Inside the Palace, is typical the use of polichromiunm materials, the flower subject and mosaic figures. Today it is the most important concert room in Barcelona.
If I'm sincere, the Music Palace is the most detailed building that I have ever seen. Each draw, each sculpture, each colour in its position. It doesn't need anything else. Every wall has got colours and shape. Every column and ceiling has got different mosaic designs. It's wonderful and incredible when you look at it! It causes in me a sensation of admiration. I'm very pleased to tell about the Music Palace.
