Rubió belongs to the second generation of modernist atchitects who were very much influenced by the great artist. Rubió started to work in Gaudi's studio and he spent a long time with him. He collaborated with Gaudi in the restoration of the cathedral of Palma de Mallorca. This house for Macari Golferichs was his first important job. He studied the construction of this house very accurately and he was quite free to build it. The building is quite original and it has been restored and it looks beautiful now.
