It is a big construction which is situated in Plaça Catalunya and Portal del Angel. It has a ground floor and 8 more floors. It has not got a special architectural style. It is the so called eclectic style. The façade facing Portal de l'angel is the widest. It shows eleven big windows with archs and forged iron rajas.
On the first floor on the left there is a statue that represents an angel with open wings work by Angel Ferrant i Vazquez (1891 - 1961). It is a reproduction of an angel who protected Barcelona from The time of the Roman walls.
It is a typical building built during the Spanish post-war which wanted to show greatness and wanted to give security by the fortificated appearance.
On top of the windows on the first floor there are symbols of commerce, industry, jobs and professions that taught people that keeping the money there was a good idea to maintain the economy of the country.
